An actor who has appeared in many films, from The Great Dictator to The Three Musketeers, has come out to promote his film “The Great Dicts”, starring a cast that includes actor Lucius Malfoy and comedian Vijay.
Vijay, who hails from Kerala, was in Mumbai to promote “The Grand Dictators”, and is set to direct and star in the film, which is scheduled to release in August.
The film is based on the novel by former Indian ambassador to the US, Kamala Dhingra.
The book, titled The Grand Dicts, chronicles a group of aristocratic families, including the Mughals, the Marathas and the Muhajirs, who fight for India’s freedom during the British Raj in the 18th and 19th centuries.
Liu is a former actor and television actor, most recently appearing on the Indian version of “The Amazing Race”, and will play the character who narrates the book.
He is known for his comedic roles in films like “Ajivi”, “Ajayna”, “Maharajya”, “Jai Bhai”, “Dhanush”, “The Karate Kid” and “Rajkot” and for his roles in movies like “Bhagwan Singh” and the Bollywood blockbuster “Bajrangi Bhaijaan”.
Liu has a new film, “The Royalty”, which is based in Mumbai.
He has also made films in Delhi, Kolkata and Mumbai.
