The Hollywood Reporter is reporting that Matt Ryan will appear on the season 4 premiere of Homeland, as the lead role of Michael “Michael” Flynn, an FBI agent who goes on to help save his daughter from a brutal killer.

Ryan will play the role for the first time in a major role, as he and his co-stars were cast in a supporting role for a season 3 episode.

Ryan will play a supporting character named Michael, who is played by Jason Statham, the British actor best known for playing a cop in the BBC series The Wire.

Statham has also recently landed roles in HBO’s American Gods and FX’s Fargo, which also features Michael Flynn.

The Homeland premiere is set for Sunday, Sept. 20 at 9:30 p.m.
